Greetings All: I am thinking of purchasing an old Oliver Crawler, Model HG42 SN#55GA902. It also have a Ware Loader, Model HGH Ser. No. 49-1146. The machine has a 4 cylinder gas Hercules engine...Everything works, although it looks mighty old and used. Loader cylinders could use rebuilding soon. Tracks appear good and tight, sprockets look pretty good. Asking price is $2250 which I think is high. What do these machines typically go for? Next question...How do you drive this? With a clutch and two steering clutches (although I have been told they are brakes), my small amount of driving has been rather rough. Do you clutch often when trying to manuver, or only when shifting and stopping? Anyone with experience with these machines, I'd love to hear from you. I went to see it expecting to find a larger machine...It is kinda cute and small. Does it push well? All comments greatly appreciated. Thanks much, Bruce
